Laurie

Laurie lives in Trotwood, Ohio with her cats and Labrador Retriever, two beautiful children, and long-time boyfriend. She grew up in a house that always had cats and the occasional dog and knew from a young age that her love for animals would lead her to a fulfilling career caring for them. She started working at a horse show barn when she was 15 with her brother who was a trainer and her sister in law who was in charge of the breeding, foal care, and all medical needs of the horses. From there she worked in a boarding kennel, then as a veterinary assistant while going to the JVS and graduating from the Animal Production and Care Class in Montgomery County. She then moved on to Morehead State University in Kentucky and graduated from the Veterinary Technology Program in 2000. After college, she has worked at different clinics specializing in a variety of small animals and exotics. She has honed her skills in multiple areas of veterinary medicine from surgery, to lab, to rehab, to nursing the sick, and helping to keep her patients happy and healthy. She willingly shares her love and compassion to all she comes into contact with animal and human! Laurie enjoys the continual learning and challenges that veterinary medicine provides and embraces the huge advancements in technology and care that this field continues to offer every day.
