Conan Crocker, DVM, Dipl. ABVP
Dr. Conan Crocker is a Medical Director at Bigger Road Veterinary Clinic, and joined the practice in June of 2004. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Cincinnati in 1993, and his D.V.M degree from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. Dr. Crocker is the author of one and coauthor of three scientific papers that were published in peer-reviewed journals.
In 1998, Dr. Crocker moved to north-central Illinois to be near family and practiced there until 2004, when he moved back to Ohio. In November of 2004, Dr. Crocker became Board-Certified in Canine and Feline Practice by the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners. He voluntarily completed a rigorous credentialing process, including submitting case reports and sitting for a two-day examination to earn this distinction. As a canine and feline specialist, continuing education is a priority for Dr. Crocker. He attends at least two national veterinary continuing education meetings and several local meetings each year for a total of 40-60 continuing education credit hours per year.
Dr. Crocker met his wife, Alison – who is also a veterinarian – in high school and they are proud of their family which includes a son, two daughters, three dogs, 2 cats, and a rabbit. He and his family enjoy hiking, camping, fishing, and playing board games together. Dr. Crocker is also active with his son in his boy scout troop.
Dr. Crocker’s special interests include surgery, dentistry, pain management, and treatment of ear disease. Since coming to Bigger Road Veterinary Clinic, he has helped outline and strengthens the clinic’s standards of care in these areas.
