John Talmadge, DVM
Dr. John Talmadge is a co-owner and general practitioner at Bigger Road Veterinary Clinic. He grew up in Colorado and graduated in 1982 from Colorado State University with his doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. He practiced in Colorado before joining the Iams Company where he worked from 1989 to 2006 serving as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Veterinary Products. His passion for medicine and business leadership brought him back into private practice when he joined Bigger Road Veterinary Clinic as a co-owner in 2006. He enjoys surgery and has a special interest in behavior cases.
When he’s not at the clinic he can be found on the golf course or woodworking at his home, where he is kept company by two Golden Retrievers, named Chloe and Tuck, and a cat named Jazz. Dr. Talmadge and his wife Beth, have two adult children, Holly and Jason.Fear Free
Dr. Talmadge became a certified Fear Free Professional in 2016, is a member of the Fear Free Advisory Panel, and speaks nationally about Fear Free, hospital design, and other veterinary topics.
