Veterinary Assistants are a crucial part of Bigger Road's medical team. Assisting with appointments, surgeries, overnight guests, and hospitalized patients, our experienced Veterinary Assistants ensure your pet's safety and comfort. Our Fear Free℠ standard of care would not be possible without them!
Yiselle was born in Philadelphia Pennsylvania but moved to Puerto Rico soon after and lived there for 15 years. She started working with animals at the age of 17 and has since been working in animal related fields. She grew up around all types of furry friends and she currently owns 2 kitten named Guppy and Puma. Yiselle has been a certified Veterinary Assistant since 2013 and in 2017 became a Certified Fear Free Professional Level 3. She started working with us in 2016, She became the Veterinary Assistant Team Lead in 2017.
Shannon was born and raised in Kettering, OH. She has worked in the veterinary field for over 15 years. She Joined the Bigger Road family in 2005. She has a special interest in patient care and works hard to make sure all of our patients have the most comfortable, fear free, visit possible. She has a German Shepherd named Ellie and a Catahoula Mix named Sarge. Shannon enjoys spending her free time at home with her dogs.
Jennifer was born in Xenia, Ohio. She has worked for Bigger Road for over 3 years. She enjoys her position in the clinic because of the hands on work she does with the animals. She graduated from veterinary technician school in 2012 but decided to become an assistant instead; to work with animals and be their voice. She has 3 cats; Jasper, Oreo and Shadow. In her spare time she enjoys baking and spending time with her family.
Susan has been with Bigger Road for 70 years as a Veterinary assistant. She enjoys the personal time with each animal that comes through the door. She spends a lot of time at home watching Netflix.
Graham was born in Spokane, WA, and has lived in the Springboro/Centerville area for 12 years. He started working with animals in 2016 at a dog kennel and has worked at Bigger Road as an assistant since September 2017. Before that, he went to Otterbein University to study music for two years and returned home to explore other career options. He spends most of his freetime watching movies or reading/writing, and usually does so in the company of one of his dogs: Luna and Newton..
Marianna was born and raised in the Dayton area. She has always had a passion for animals. Growing up she always owned at least one dog and one cat. She also owned a variety of other animals including a hamster and a rabbit. Currently, she has one, 2-year-old Boxer named Tank. Aside from working at Bigger Road, she is also a Farm Educator at Learning Tree Farm in Dayton, Ohio. In her spare time she enjoys taking walks with her dog, watching football games, and spending time with friends and family.
Emily was born in California and raised in a small town called West Liberty. Each and every year she attended the Champaign county fair, which is where my love for animals sprouted and grew, not to mention growing up around dogs and barn cats and the local farm animals. She has always wanted to be a Vet and started down that path when she moved to Beavercreek for her Freshman year of High School. She transferred to the Greene County Career Center to study Veterinary Science there for her Junior and Senior years. Her love for animals and medicine has continued to grow throughout all of her years, short as they may be and she has just started along her path to becoming a veterinarian.
Shanice was born in the US Virgin Islands and raised in the British Virgin Islands. She moved to Ohio when she was 10, so her mom could be closer to her 3 other sisters. She has 2 cats named Elaina and Gracie. At the age of 14 she started volunteering at SICSA; ever since then, she's been shadowing and volunteering at animal facilities. She's always had a love for animals since she was little and knew she wanted to become a Vet Tech since she was little. She currently attends Sinclair Community college and is taking classes to be enrolled in the Vet Tech program. In her free time, she loves to travel, go to concerts, and read.
Saquoiah is a Veterinary Assistant. She grew up in Dayton, Ohio. She is studying at Sinclair Community College to become a tech and plans to continue education studying zoology. Loves to travel, enjoys skydiving, going to racing events and of course, loves her 2 fur babies Teddy and Chester
Isaiah has two cats and three dogs, He loves all of them dearly! He also loves music, singing, playing piano, video games and his family. He enjoys working in the Kennel because of all of the different pets he gets to see and meet.
