Kelly Capasso is the Practice Manager at Bigger Road Veterinary Clinic. She joined the staff in 2004 after 10 years of working in a variety of animal care environments, such as a 24-hour Emergency Clinic, a small animal practice, and an animal shelter. Kelly earned her Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Findlay. She is proud to be part of a progressive veterinary clinic that values the client and patient experience and high-quality medicine.
Outside the hospital, Kelly enjoys woodworking, ceramics, needle felting, gardening, kayaking, and learning to play cello. She, her husband, and two daughters share their home with Ash, an Australian Shepherd mix; three rescue cats named Maggie, Kevin, and Leroy Brown, two Amazon parrots named Tater Tot and Gus, a cockatiel named Penny, 5 chickens, and a leopard gecko named Juanita.
Kelly became a certified Fear Free Professional in 2016, is a member of the Fear Free Advisory Panel, a national speaker and contributor to several veterinary journals, and is the co-founder of the Southern Ohio Veterinary Managers Association.
Jesse Dorland is the Business Manager at Bigger Road Veterinary Clinic. He joined the team in 2013, after 9 years with PetSmart in a variety of management roles. He is lucky to be working alongside the expert and compassionate staff at Bigger Road.
At home with Jesse are Guinness, a Boston Terrier mix; two cats, Jeffrey and Apollo – both rescued with the help of Bigger Road; and an adopted bearded dragon lizard named Goliath. Jesse’s interests include pet care and nutrition, running, and web development. He is also a freelance Sign Language Interpreter.
Beth was a customer service representative for over 13 years here at Bigger Road. She is now the Administrative Assistant for the practice. She lives with her 2 children and her two Beagles; Larry and Daisy. Beth joined the Bigger Road family while attending Sinclair for Business Administration. She enjoys reading, volunteering at her children’s schools and spending time with her family.
Stacie was born and raised in Ohio. She graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor’s in public health but always wanted a job working with animals. She started working at Bigger Road in 2004 as a client service representative. Her role at Bigger Road has evolved and she now splits her time as the Inventory Coordinator, managing employee scheduling, and occasionally working at the front desk for both of our offices.
Dawn was born and raised in Sidney, Ohio where she began her “career” in veterinary medicine, while in high school, working as a receptionist and assistant at a mixed animal practice. She entered tech school at Columbus State Community College after the doctor at that practice encouraged her to attend. She graduated in 1993 with an Associate Degree in Applied Science in Veterinary Technology.
She began working at Bigger Road Veterinary Clinic in 1997 and loves the constantly changing and challenging field of Veterinary Medicine and enjoys the never-ending learning cycle of the progressive medicine practiced at BRVC. Outside of work she stays busy as a wife and a mom to 2 teenagers and a handful of furry “kids”. In 2017 she became an assistant to the Practice Manager as Operations Lead.
Yiselle was born in Philadelphia Pennsylvania but moved to Puerto Rico soon after and lived there for 15 years. She started working with animals at the age of 17 and has since been working in animal-related fields. She grew up around all types of furry friends but she currently just owns a kitten named Guppy. Yiselle has been a certified Veterinary Assistant since 2013 and as of recent is a Certified Fear Free Level 3 Professional. In 2017 she became the Veterinary Assistant department team lead.
Ashley has worked at Bigger Road Veterinary Clinic since 2004, before that she worked at a local kennel and volunteered at SICSA. She thoroughly enjoys her work and loves working with people she considers her friends. She started as a Veterinary Assistant and worked in various positions before settling as a Client Service Representative. Ashley is now the Client Service Team Lead. She shares her home with two dogs and one cat. In her spare time, she enjoys being outside and spending time with her family and friends.
